|Sea Kayak Argyll uses friendly, professional, qualified guides and coaches. We operate throughout the Cowal Peninsula, the Isle of Bute and along Argyll’s ’Secret Coast’, all offering stunning scenary and wildlife. We are the first Scottish ISKGA Centre and are now offering both BCU and ISKGA accredited courses and qualifications.
With Sea Kayak Argyll, each trip is personalised to you, allowing your interests and experience to shape the programme. We keep our groups small. We can give you advice on what kit to bring, how to get here and where to stay. We are dedicated to the environment and take every possible step to minimise our impact on this beautiful area. See the Argyll Secret Coast link to learn more about the region.
Sea kayaking appeals to people of all ages and fitness levels, and no previous experience is necessary. Whether on a journey or coaching session you are likely to see the local seals and a fantastic array of birds. We believe in keeping you warm and dry: no need to capsize. Our sea kayaks are all manufactured by Tiderace, they are high end performance boats. See the Tiderace link to view more about Tiderace boats.
In addition to being an International Sea Kayak Guide and BCU Sea Kayak Leader, Head Guide Phil Keetley’s outdoor qualifications include Canoe and Kayak Coach, Mountain Leader, Rock Climbing Instructor, RYA Coastal Skipper and Mountain Bike Leader. He is a Rescue and Emergency Care Advanced First Aid Instructor and holds the Royal Geographic Society Off Site Safety Management Certificate.
With this variety of experience, Sea Kayak Argyll offers challenging, fun adventure. We specialise in expedition training and coast craft, as well as safety and rescue, incident management and outdoors 1st Aid. Sea Kayak Argyll operates under the Leave No Trace and Safe Wildlife philosophies.
